WOMEN SALTY OVER BEING DENIED ROBS WOMEN SHE TRIED TO “HOLLA” AT

Niagara Falls, NY – Around 3:23 pm on Wednesday July 17th Niagara Falls Police officers were dispatched to 25th Street and Ferry for reports of an attempted armed robbery.

When police arrived on scene the victim told them she was robbed of her wallet at gunpoint by another woman who was trying to hit on her.

According to the victim, the suspect became angry with the victim after being rejected by the female and then pulled out a gun and pointed at the victim demanding she give up her wallet.

After the victim gave up her wallet, the suspect got into a SUV and drove off.

About 30 minutes later, Niagara Falls Police were able to locate a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle involved the parking lot of the Coastal Gas Station on the corner of 19th and Walnut Avenue with a male and female inside.

Both people were detained and the female suspect taken back to the crime scene location for a show-up. The suspect who was identified 33-year-old Michantta Marie Williams, aka Channie was positively ID’d by the victim and placed under arrest.

Williams was charged with first-degree robbery. She also had an outstanding warrant.

It’s unknown what the other person who was detained involvement was in this incident or if he’s facing any charges.

NIAGARA FALLS POOL AND COOLING CENTERS HOURS EXTENDED

Niagara Falls, NY – Today, Mayor Paul Dyster and John Caso, Director of Parks and Public Works announced extended pool and air conditioned cooling center hours to offset high temperatures forecasted through the weekend. With hot and humid conditions expected through Saturday the following city pools will hold extended hours on Thursday and Friday from 11 am until 6 pm for those in need:

  • Center Court

  • D’Amelio Park

  • 91st Street

  • Hyde Park Splash Pad

The eity will also hold pool hours at the following locations Saturday

  • Center Court (11 am – 2:30 pm)

  • 91st Street (2:30 pm -4:30 pm)

In addition, the John Duke Senior Center will hold extended cooling center hours from 8 am until 6pm on Thursday and Friday.

Those at greatest risk for heat-related illness include infants and children up to four years of age, and those 65 years or older.

The Niagara Falls Fire Department asks that residents take the following steps to avoid heat-related illness or injury:

  • Stay in an air-conditioned indoor location as much as possible

  • Drink plenty of fluids, even if you don’t feel thirsty

  • Schedule outdoor activities carefully

  • Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing and sunscreen

  • Take cool showers or baths to cool down

  • Never leave children or pets in cars

JULY 16, 2019 – NIAGARA FALL, NY – ILLEGALLY DUMPED GARBAGE FIRE

Niagara Falls, NY – On 07/15/19 at 6:45 PM, Niagara Falls Firefighters were dispatched to respond to the area near 22nd and Allen Avenue for report of something on fire.

Heavy black smoke could be seen from just about anywhere in the city.

Firefighters located the source of the fire which was a large pile of illegally dumped garbage on propriety we believe is owned by CSX located between Buffalo Ave and Allen Ave.

FACEBOOK BEEF LEADS TO TWO PEOPLE BEING ARRESTED SUNDAY NIGHT

Dequan Moore sits in back of a Niagara Falls police vehicle awaiting transport to police headquarters

Niagara Falls, NY – Around 8:30 pm on Sunday, July 14 Niagara Falls Police dispatched officers to the area of 20th and Independence Ave for a domestic/subject with a gun call.

According to police audio, the complainant reported that a female was screaming from a house and then a male followed her carrying a long gun on his shoulder.

When officers arrived on scene, they observed a male matching the description of the suspect coming out of the 800 block alley on 20th street.

When officers approached the male and asked if he was armed, the male suspect refused to answer then attempted to walk away from officers. While attempting to detain the male, his 16-year-old sister tried to hit one of the arresting officers while screaming “don’t touch my brother.”

The juvenile was taken into custody along with her brother who was identified as Dequan Moore.

According to the arrested juvenile’s mother, a female approached them as they were walking on LaSalle Ave sometime Sunday and tried to choke the juvenile.

Apparently, this altercation was said to have started over a Facebook post and the two girls had arranged to meet up to fight each other.

Officers were able to locate two unloaded long guns that were wrapped in a dark t-shirt and hidden in some foliage in the 800 block alley between 19th and 20th Streets.

Jedidiah Aiken Arrested In Town of Niagara

Town Of Niagara – According to the Town of Niagara Police Facebook page, Jedidiah Aiken was arrested on July 11th on a warrant for Aggravated Harassment and Disorderly Conduct. Aiken was arraigned and is to return to Niagara Town court on today for further proceedings.

NIAGARA FALLS FIREFIGHTERS BATTLES BLAZE IN THE 1800 BLOCK OF NIAGARA STREET

Niagara Falls, NY – Around 12:18 pm on 07/13/19 Niagara Falls Department Dispatch toned out Fire Engines 4, 8, 3, 7, Truck 1, Rescue 1, and Battalion Chief in Car 80 to respond to 1806 Niagara Street for a well involved structure fire.

When firefighters first arrived, they were met with heavy flame coming from the 2nd floor of a large 2 and 1/2 story home that was occupied.

According to the Niagara Falls Uniformed Fire Fighters Association – Local 714 facebook page, crews were able to advance hose lines into the house and extinguish the fire that spread throughout the upper floors.

To our understanding, every one made it out safe and there were no injuries reported.

According to RobShots, the Red Cross was requested to assist three adults.

WOMEN SUFFERS INJURIES AFTER FALLING FROM MOVING VEHICLE

Niagara Falls, NY -Around 6:20 pm on 07/13/19, Niagara Falls Police and Fire were dispatched to the 2200 block of Pierce for a report that a female had been hit by a vehicle and that the vehicle had fled.

We later learned that the victim was a backseat passenger in the vehicle and she fell out of as the vehicle was making a left turn.

We are not sure how or why she fell out of the vehicle but we’re told that there was some type of argument between her and the driver of the vehicle.

Niagara Falls Police Crime Scene Unit and detectives also responded and are investigating.

MEMBERS OF THE NIAGARA FALLS WATER BOARD RESCUES MOTHERLESS BABY DUCKS

Niagara Falls, NY – Earlier this morning members of the Niagara Falls Water Board were called out to the 900 block of Hyde Park Blvd near the skate park to assist in rescuing baby duckling that were stuck in a catch basin.

Since the mother had be struck and killed by a car, the ducklings were picked up by a wildlife rescue agency.

The duckling seems to be in good shape.
